The Future is Now!

or any red blooded american, today is a momentous day. Decades ago, we watched Marty and Doc travel 30 years into the future from the year 1985 to October 21st, 2015...TODAY! For decades we have been anxiously waiting for hoverboards, flying cars, and self lacing shoes to become the norm and while you may be thinking the movie was completely wrong in their predictions of the future - when you actually think about it they weren't that far off. In honor of many people's favorite movie - we at TRG will suspend the blog being about our outstanding team and amazing services, in order to bring you a blog that has nothing to do with our business, a comparison of which 2015 is better.

Why My Meetings Sucked

Have you ever been a part of a project that you were really excited about and couldn't wait to start working on? One of those projects where, during the initial meetings, you just couldn't wait to see what the final product was going to look like? One of those things where you wish you could hop in a time machine and skip a year into the future just to see how it all turns out?

Interview Gone Awry! Part 2

A few blogs ago, we took some of the oddest Interview Questions from 2015 and asked them to our 3 newest team members here at TRG. The results were fantastic!  The answers were funny, they were sad, they were embarrassing, we really learned a lot about who these people were and how their brains worked. To be honest, we probably learned a little bit too much about them and now its awkward when I pass them in the halls. Weirdos.

TRG Reality employs a host of people, from professional photographers to CG experts, to project managers and marketing specialists, to finance managers and retouchers. But that’s merely what everyone does for his or her careers. We wanted to know what everyone does outside of the studio in his or her free time, and once we started asking around, we quickly realized that we employ a group of truly interesting and unique people. Here’s what we learned about the TRG staff.

One Year @ TRG

As a teacher by trade, I love everything about the learning process. In fact, I often find myself missing being the student, which is why writing for TRG Reality this past year has been a truly wonderful, eye-opening experience. When Adam and Craig approached me about writing a piece on all that I’ve learned since I started back in March of 2014, I eagerly accepted. In no particular order, here are 10 things I learned after commuting for 34 weeks, composing 32 blogs posts, drafting 4 newsletters, and editing 2 pieces for this “picture-perfect” company.

Fare Thee Well, Bridget!

TRG Reality is more than just a photography studio. We’re more than just co-workers. We’re more than just friends. So, when one of your more-than-just-a-coworker-and-friend leaves, it can be hard to say goodbye. Bridget Rehner has been with TRG for 2 years, but has recently decided to leave Cleveland and seek new adventures in Chicago. We are of course very sad to see her go, which is why we decided to pull everyone into the Digital office for one last farewell. Below are just some of the funny, poignant, and moving memories Bridget has created with the folks here at TRG.

Interview Gone Awry!

Recently the website Glassdoor released a list of the “Top 25 Oddball Interview Questions for 2014.”Coincidentally, we’ve had some recent additions to the TRG Reality staff in the past couple of months. No, we didn’t ask these wacky questions to our newest employees, but we couldn’t help but wonder how they would’ve respond to these off-the-wall questions. Thus, we took David Miller, Rob Lohr, and Hannah Hlavin to task for our latest blog installment. Please note that we asked each employee the questions individually, and they were not shown the questions ahead of time.

TRG's Favorite Cleveland Eats

At TRG Reality, we love to eat, but we’re pretty particular when it comes to where we dine. Whether it’s catering lunches for our clients, celebrating a special occasion, or just ordering in lunch, we always like to hit up our favorite local fare. As a Cleveland-based company, we feel it is our duty to patronize our fellow neighborhood businesses, which isn’t hard to do when there are so many outstanding restaurants all around us. Here are all of our preferred picks to eat a meal, grab a snack, sip a coffee, indulge our sweet tooth, and knock back a few cold ones.

What the TRG Team is Wishing for This Holiday

No matter which annual holiday you celebrate, most people consider this the time of year for giving. With that in mind, I thought it would be interesting to ask the TRG team a question. The premise was simple: if money were no object, and it had to be work-related, what would you want? The answers I received ranged from very reasonable to expensive, to crazy-expensive and just plain crazy, with a bit of overlap in-between. And there was a clear winner as to what gift most people would like.
