When it comes to imagery, be it photography or CGI, it is always helpful when our clients understand the basics of colors. With this knowledge, we can better communicate with each other regarding the processes and final product. Having a grasp on the fundamentals of color will help empower clients and provide them with the tools they need to better communicate their ideas and suggestions. Below are 10 basic color facts to keep in mind when planning your next project. There will be a quiz after you’re done reading this, so take notes. 

As a Cleveland based company, we feel it is extremely important to be fully immersed in our community, from other local businesses, to our sports teams, and to our charitable organizations. In July, we had the great fortune of doing a shoot at one of our favorite locations – Cleveland’s own Rainey Institute, located at 1705 East 55th Street. This non-profit organization is a community center dedicated to tapping into young minds through the world of the arts.

We like to think that we produce breathtaking photography, but there are limits to what can be done when the agenda is the replication and consistency of a single image. That’s where our expertise in CGI comes into play.

Derrick Nau is TRG’s newest CGI Generalist. We wanted to know a little bit more about what makes this bearded artist tick, so I peppered him with questions about his work, life, and hobbies.

Last week, we wrote about the oft-disputed debate between Nikon and Canon photography gear. We can’t say one is definitively better than the other, but what we can say is that producing terrific photography is about more than having the right gear. It’s about the artist holding the camera.

Interestingly, the very first Canon camera, which was introduced in 1935, had a Nikon lens (although the brand was Nikkor at the time). 

Years ago, Doug Kiley joined the TRG Reality team as a photographer and went on to do terrific work in that role for many years. But eventually Doug discovered the need for a greater challenge. He wanted to push himself. Challenge himself. Grow. And instead of ignoring these feelings, like so many of us do, Doug made the decision to pursue a new and difficult path.
